Paisley Foot (1st and 3rd tattoo)

I’ve been in love with paisley print and patterns since my mum gave me a head scarf she had worn as a teenager. It’s beautiful, full of heritage and culture.

Unlike my second tattoo, this deisgn doesn’t have much meaning. Not all tattoos have to Sometimes the art of designing, creating and surviving a tattoo is all that matters. Plus, it helps if it looks great.

Paisley foot has been developed as an evolving tattoo. I always wanted to make a project out of tattooing, and to have something that can be added to again and again. That’s the beauty in Paisley, it’s so versatile, and can be personalized to your body so fluidly. Who knows how far the paisley print will envelope my leg!

My second tattoo
My family name is the only thing that holds us together anymore. We’ve all grown up and living our own lives. One day me and my sister will lose this name, and it will cease to exist. I want to hold onto the last thing that ties my family to each other even though we’ve become fragmented.
And from the non ‘Farren’ side of the family, is a typewriter I was given by my uncle, salvaged from my grandparents 70 year old farm and made working again by a bit of love. I don’t see my family very often, or get chance to speak to them on the phone as much as i’d like, but when we do, we put care and attention into those moments because we’ve only got a few of them left.
FUCK. Actually got a little serious for a second. ANYWAY…
